Teleophthalmology Service During COVID-19 In Indonesia: Initial Reports

Introduction: Due to difficulties in attending direct patient care and limit the spread of COVID-19, Indonesian ministry health encourages hospitals establish telemedicine services. This study aimed report initial practice real-time teleophthalmology during COVID-19 pandemic Indonesia. Methods: retrospective descriptive-analytical collected data from patients who had consultations within 3 months (April 27 – July 27, 2020). All consecutive were included this study, except those with incomplete records. Patients’ demographics, main reason for consultation, working diagnosis, prescribed medication, management plan, satisfaction survey analysis. Result: There 251 video 206 4 (1.9%) excluded due medical 52 (25.7%) new patients. The median 2 (1-8) each day. age was 43.5 (from <1 year 95 years). reasons consultation dry eye-related symptoms red eye. three most common primary diagnoses eye syndrome, conjunctivitis, stye. Medication 149 (73.8 %) 43 (21.3 advised have immediate consultation. revealed a 21.3% response rate, which 41.9% 58.1% felt very satisfied respectively. Conclusion: Real-time seemed be well-accepted by our population spite its early adoption high satisfactory rate.
